Farm Studio was founded to realize the creative potential of exchange, dialogue and collaboration between Indian rural artists and artisans and international contemporary artists. Locally, Farm Studio promotes and celebrates community artistic and cultural identity and supports community-based activities.

Vagaram Choudhary is from a remote village in Rajasthan (India). Trained as a fine artist, Vagaram has a Master of Arts degree from the Fine Arts College of MLS University in Udaipur. Vagaram has a rich understanding of art and culture and has collaborated with various artists, cultural organizations, galleries, and museums to promote Indian art and cultural heritage projects at various international levels. He has exhibited his artwork throughout India and abroad; in Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Serbia, UK, New Zealand and Canada. Founder and co-host of Farm Studio, Vagaram selflessly shares his expertise with visiting guest artists and exposes them to local culture, craftspeople/artisans and artists.

Monique Romeiko of Hinge Arts Projects is a Canadian artist and curator who has been partnering with Vagaram and Farm Studio for residencies, art eventsexhibitions, and outreach programs since 2017. In October 2024 they have opened an art gallery and art centre in Andore Village called Hinge Arts Space.

Now in its 8th year hosting International Artist Residencies, Farm Studio, a non-profit organization, grew out of the the rural-based Sowing Seeds Art Project. Farm Studio has been affiliated KAMAN Art Foundation, the founding organization and sponsor of Sowing Seeds and other projects in Rajasthan.
