Bihar Lalit Kala Akademi

Bihar Lalit Kala Akademi, headquartered in Patna, is a registered institution under the Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860, with registration number 570/2014-15. It operates throughout the state of Bihar.

The Akademi’s primary objective is to foster and advance the study and research of various visual arts, including painting, sculpture, printing, folk art, photography, and art criticism. It actively promotes the organization of art exhibitions for artists both within and beyond the state, providing platforms for artistic expression and recognition.

Additionally, the Akademi is dedicated to identifying and revitalizing extinct or lesser-known genres of visual arts indigenous to Bihar, raising awareness of the state’s rich cultural heritage.
