Emrging artist with fashion background
I am a contemporary Indian artist and writer with a strong foundation in fashion and design, having studied at NIFT, India’s premier fashion institute. With over 15 years of experience in the creative industry, I have worked across diverse disciplines and represented global platforms such as Maison & Objet Paris, the world’s leading lifestyle, home, and interior design trade fair. My professional journey includes collaborations with reputed organizations including Shoppers Stop, Greetwell, MYRA Design, and NIFT.
My multidisciplinary background spans graphics, concepts, colour theory, textiles, fabrics, and interior design, allowing me to approach art with both conceptual depth and material sensitivity. This diverse exposure has shaped my practice across multiple art forms and mediums.
In recent years, my painting practice has focused on nature-inspired themes—plants, birds, and organic elements—explored through experimental surfaces and mixed media. Alongside this, I create conceptual and contemporary artworks that respond to social issues and everyday human experiences. I am not a conventional artist; I value adaptability, experimentation, and the courage to work beyond boundaries.
A full-time artist for the past five years, I am an alumnus of the EIA Mentorship Programme at Kalanirvana International. I also write on lived experiences and have published a book inspired by my army background, with a second book forthcoming. My practice focuses on contemporary, meaningful, and exclusive commissioned artworks. I am represented by Kalanirvana International Art Gallery and Chitra International Art Gallery.
