Alliance Française de Bhopal

Founded in 1983 and 1997, Alliance Française de Bhopal and its annexe in Indore are the official French language institutes and cultural centres in Madhya Pradesh. The organisation’s main objective is to promote and develop Franco-Indian relations in the fields of education and culture.

Known for the excellence in French language teaching and for the prestigious cultural projects it brings to the cities, AF Bhopal & Indore is your one stop destination to immerse yourself in the French language and culture.

WHO ARE WE ?
The Alliance Française de Bhopal is a non-profit association which ensures the self-financing of its operations. It is supported by the French Embassy.

The Alliance Française de Bhopal is one of the 14 Alliances spread over 14 states in India. Since its creation in 1983, Alliance Française de Bhopal has developed an expertise and excellence in teaching French as a Foreign Language and created many cultural partnerships in the community. The Alliance Française de Bhopal has now more than 2000 students in its classes a year. It offers off-site classes in several schools, colleges and institutes in Bhopal and in Indore. It’s also the only authorised institution, in Madhya Pradesh, to conduct the French Diploma’s exam : DELF-DALF, TCF and TEF.

Our students and members have access to various services and resources through our centre. The library offers a wide range of books, magazines, videos, DVDs and CDs of French music.

The Alliance Française de Bhopal organises more than 30 cultural and social events a year, including concerts, exhibitions, films screenings and lectures in collaboration with Indian and French cultural institutions and partners. Participation of local artists is encouraged by regular presentations of painting exhibitions in the gallery of the Alliance. These events are seen as exceptional value added elements to the learning experience for students of the Alliance Française.
